Probably Not the Right Thing to Post Three Days After You've Published a Text Called "The Poverty of Parody"

"Hello, police? My ex is kicking my front door in right now. I think he's got a gun."

"Do you have police insurance?"

"Well, in that case, I'll have to inform you about our prices. Two officers at your house will cost you a thousand. If they make an arrest, that's an extra 500. Each bullet fired costs a tenner. Interrogations come at 160 per hour, and if this thing actually goes to court, boy, we'll take you to the cleaners! Still interested?"

I guess hardly anybody would want to live in a society where this dialogue could occur. Why should healthcare be any different?
