TV Reality

It is a bit frightening when you watch Austria v Germany in a pub and there is a middle-aged woman standing behind you who smokes a lot and keeps uttering the old classics "Come on!" and "The goal's up front!" and her voice sounds exactly like those of Pattie and Selma from The Simpsons. I was expecting to see a woman with very large blue hair walk in any minute, but I never saw her. What instead I saw was a free-kick the sheer brute force of which impressed me much more than the skill that goes into those Beckham-type flicks-over-the-wall. Well, I guess I must be German.
