Help Wanted: The Greatest Films 2000-2009 [Now with Free Bonus Video]

As I'm planning to do a "Best Films 2000-2009" series in the first few months of next year, but am (a) not thaaaat much of a movie buff and (b) quite forgetful, I thought I might take one out of John Althouse Cohen's book and ask you, my cultured readers, which films should definitely be considered. This should be early enough so I can get my hands on the films you suggest. (With the exception of porn, my local library stocks pretty much everything that's ever been released on DVD in this country - or at least that's my impression.)

I promise to deliver a proper review (at least by this blog's standards) for each film that makes the top 10, maybe one a week.

Fire away in the comments section. Your help is appreciated!

Added: Just came across this clip of Quentin Tarantino giving a list of his 20 favourite films since 1992:

For the record, The Host may well be the worst movie I've sat through this century.

Three movies immediately sprung to my mind, all made in 2007, each one a masterpiece:
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Zodiac

I am also very partial to Serenity and Master & Commander. Though not exactly masterpieces, films like American Psycho, Kill Bill, Inside Man or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are pure cinematic joy.

Then perhaps the Russian movie Vozvrashcheniye is definitely some sort of awesome.

The Pianist
Sideways
Ghost World
The Royal Tenenbaums
Melinda and Melinda
Man on the Moon

Documentaries:
Capturing the Friedmans
The Fog of War
Spellbound

Movies I haven't seen but should definitely be considered based on their reputation:
Borat
Wall-E
Slumdog Millionaire
Hotel Rwanda
Rushmore

Thank you, this already contains many I've never seen and some I've never even heard of.

Everybody else, feel free to add.
